We are an England Athletics-affiliated running club that cater for all abilities.
We meet on Mondays and Wednesdays for club runs and regularly for other social and running events in Freckleton, Warton and surrounding areas. Club runs are planned, organised and delivered by qualified England Athletics run leaders and coaches.
At F&WRC, we run on road, trail and track. We do a wide variety of running in our regular and one-off events. See our social media for updates on what we’ve been up to and the calendar below for upcoming events.
We are always welcoming new members to the club and we offer a free trial week for anyone who would like to come and join us to try it out. See our ‘Joining Us’ page to find out more.
One of our club members, Julie, is going through a devastating time.
Julie & Nigel’s son, Danny, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He has spent over a year in hospital and Julie has been by his side the whole time.
In order to bring Danny home, the family need to sell their house and buy a property that can be adapted for Danny. Because of the need of a bigger home, there is a shortfall and they are fundraising so they will be able to afford this.
F&WRC has always been more than a running club; we like to think of our club as a community and a family.
As such, we have chosen this cause as our Club Charity of The Year 2024.
We hope you will help us in supporting Julie, Nigel, Emily, Charlotte & Danny.

From being bullied and attempting suicide twice to running 401 marathons in 401 days, we challenge you not to find something in his life story that isn’t relatable and an inspiration to all.
In 2022, Freck & Warton Running Club won Club of the Year at the Fylde Active Community Awards. We were deemed the Friendliest Club on the Fylde Coast and we are so proud of the entire club, who demonstrate how true this is all the time.
In the same year, we were also shortlisted for Club of the Year in the Lancashire Active Awards.
